Jeffco Public Schools is a proud to partner with the 2020 Census count. Responses to the 2020 Census will drive decisions on the annual allocation of more than $675 billion in federal funds.

By participating in the 2020 Census, you will be an integral part of helping Jefferson County students.





what is the 2020 Census?

2020 Census is coming!The 2020 Census counts every person living in the United States and the five U.S. territories.

The count is mandated by the Constitution and conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, a nonpartisan government agency.

Each home will receive an invitation to respond to a short questionnaire— in-person, online, by phone, or by mail. The 2020 Census will be the first time that you will be able to respond to the census online.

APRIL 1ST IS CENSUS COUNT DAY

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Starting March 12, 2020  - the census will be available online and by phone. 

By April 1, 2020, almost every home will receive an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census. You will have four options for responding:
  • Online
  • In-person
  • By phone
  • By mail
The online census and supporting guides are available in 59 languages.

WHAT DOES THE CENSUS ASK?

The Census is a simple questionnaire that asks about yourself and everyone who is living with you on April 1, 2020.

THE CENSUS WILL NEVER ASK:

The census will never ask for:
  • A Social Security number
  • Money or a donation
  • Bank account or credit card numbers
  • Information about, for, or on behalf of a political party or affiliation
