Cara Jakab, Prospect Valley ES studentThere are moments in elementary education that ignite hope and inspiration. During anti-bully month in October, Prospect Valley Elementary experienced one of those moments. After a Drama Llama lesson, by school liaison Cara Jakab, a 5th grade student, Lily Johnson, voiced her desire to facilitate a significant initiative for the school. Within a couple of weeks after discussing her ideas with Principal Bev Haynie, her idea became a reality.

"I have always wanted to spread kindness and because it is my last year at Prospect Valley, I wanted to try to do something to inspire other kids to spread kindness," explained Lily. "I wanted this project to show that kids are as powerful as grown-ups and that we, as a community, are one big chain. Each student will be a link in our community chain. Every kid will get a strip of paper to write their name and some way they will try to spread kindness. Just like links in a chain, we are so much stronger when we are connected together."
