This has allowed students to have both their needs and strengths met across the board.

Her role of "first grade classroom teacher" has morphed to include researcher, video producer, graphic designer, story-teller, moderator, and community connector.  Jordan Whittington Jordan Whittington
Arvada West High School
Jordan Whittington helps lead Arvada West's pre-medical pathway program and developed a "first help" protocol using some of his pre-med students. While serving as a combat medic with the U.S. Army, Jordan experienced the importance of trained first response, and knows the difference seconds can make in life and death situations. Whittington has implemented a Pre-Medical Team, or PMT program, which teaches students basic emergency response. The students train for a wide range of injuries and scenarios, including CPR and Stop the Bleed protocols. If the pilot program at AWest is successful, Whittington hopes to see similar programs roll out at high schools throughout Jeffco.
