It's not just the new buildings and additions that deserve attention. Smaller projects at schools across Jeffco are making a huge impact on student learning environments. One of the most impactful changes to an existing classroom or school can be furniture. Gone are the days of rigid and uncomfortable attached desks, now student furniture is bright, flexible and comfortable -- matching new teaching and learning methods.
Over the summer, 19 schools received new classroom and school furniture. These projects ranged from library makeovers to creative classroom seating. In 2020 alone Jeffco has invested over $5 million in furniture replacements. This, along with our new district-wide furniture standards, ensures our students have comfortable and durable furniture in their schools for years to come.
