The 2021 Jeffco Virtual Career Expo offered students multiple engaging and relevant sessions based on their individual career interests and learning goals. Over three days, students were able to network and speak directly with industry professionals and learn about their careers. Some key topics for students included, “Careers that get you Outside”, “Women in Engineering”, “Rockin’ Resumes”. Nearly 900 10th - 12th grade students from 24 Jeffco Schools registered to participate in the Jeffco Virtual Career Expo. Students could choose between 59 workshops over three days. Additionally, teachers and Jeffco Public Schools staff were able to engage with SWAP and Junior Achievement on new and exciting resources to bring Work-based Learning conversations into the classroom.
Thank you to the Jeffco Business and Workforce Center for their partnership by providing students with this amazing opportunity! Also, thank you to school counselors, Dina Klancir, Kim Morrow and Suzanne Mentlik for going above and beyond to support this event with not only their presence, but also student recruitment!
