With spring break right around the corner, our students and staff are preparing for a much deserved week of relaxation.
While they are away, our Jeffco Builds construction team will be hard at work across the district at many of our large project sites.
These projects -- which all started as ideas and designs -- are now taking shape as foundations, beams, and interiors are put into place.
From nearly completed new buildings to construction kick-offs, we are excited for what is to come!
A Bright and Modern Kendrick Lakes
Our first new facility through the 2018 bond at Kendrick Lakes Elementary is now complete. This facility is a complete change from the prior space - providing light and bright spaces for students and staff. Teachers will move into classrooms after spring break and will welcome students into this amazing new building.
High School Auxiliary Gyms and Additions in the Works
Many of our high schools are gaining much needed space for athletics and activities through auxiliary gym additions. At Conifer, Green Mountain, Columbine and Jefferson High Schools, these gyms will all be ready to welcome students back for the 2021-22 school year. A larger building addition is in the works at Alameda International High School, where additional classrooms and existing building remodeling will totally transform their space.
Elementary and Middle Schools Grow to Meet their Needs
Big changes are happening at many of our middle and elementary schools as well. Additions are underway at Lumberg, Parmalee and Foster Elementary Schools as well as Bell and Wayne Carle Middle Schools. While each of these projects varies in scope and size, they will all enhance the learning environment for students and give educators modern spaces that match their current teaching styles.
Exciting Progress at Warren Tech South
It was just last fall that we celebrated the groundbreaking at CTE South - our new Warren Tech facility. Just within those few months the building has truly taken shape and soon work will start on the interior, which will customize classrooms to unique programmatic needs. This state-of-the-art facility will welcome new students for the first time this fall.
