Jeffco's Capital Improvement Program is beginning 2023 roughly 84% complete and largely ahead of schedule. We just wrapped up a banner year in which many of our large projects were completed.

Our schools' improvements were made possible by Jefferson County voters who approved bond money in 2018. Since then, Jeffco Builds has been hard at work to improve our schools and strengthen our community.

Today, the majority of our projects have been completed ahead of schedule. In addition, thanks to good financial management and profitable investments, the district will also make use of $118 million more than expected at no extra cost to taxpayers. Jeffco Schools will complete every promised project and then some!

Some of the additional projects include an addition at D'Evelyn Jr./Sr. High School; buildout of JeffcoNET, our district's own fiber network; funding of Jeffco charter schools; and improvements to Trailblazer Stadium, one of four large stadiums that hosts athletic events for the entire district.Initial Bond Added Value

Ongoing Projects

The bond money is also being used to fund ongoing districtwide enhancements to improve the health, safety and efficiency of our schools. We're continuing our progress on several projects:

  • Providing high speed internet access to all Jeffco Schools through a district owned fiber network, JeffcoNET, to allow the district to be independent from outside providers
  • Upgrading to LED lighting in our schools to improve their energy efficiency
  • Improving safety and security in our schools

We'll keep you updated on our progress this year on the Jeffco Builds website.
