Volunteering in Jeffco

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Jeffco Public Schools! Our district and school staff know your time is precious and appreciate your sharing it with us. Some details about volunteering are below, and also in this Volunteer Guide.

Volunteering at Our Schools

If you are interested in volunteering at a Jeffco school, you should contact that school directly. Our schools know best where they need volunteers and may have their own preferences for the volunteer process.

If you aren't sure what school you'd like to volunteer, refer to our school directory or map of schools for one near you.

Review our Volunteer Guide for the following:

  • What is a volunteer?
  • What are the responsibilities of a volunteer?
  • What should I expect as a volunteer?
  • What kind of volunteer opportunities are available?
  • How do I begin the volunteer process?
  • What questions should I ask?

Volunteering as a Crossing Guard

Many Jeffco Schools are fortunate to have volunteer crossing guards who help ensure the safety of our students.

View the training presentation (in Spanish) for more details about the program.

All crossing guards are required to sign a Workers Comp Waiver (Spanish).

To volunteer as a crossing guard, contact individual schools to inquire.
