RESTART EVALUATION
SCHOOL YEAR 2020-21
In October of the 2020-21 school year, we used feedback from the Spring 2019-20 Learning at Home surveys, along with guidance from the Jeffco Board of Education to develop a plan to evaluate the fall restart. The focus areas of the evaluation included key components of effective instruction, student engagement, and student academic achievement. To carry out the Restart Evaluation, we conducted Fall and Spring 2020-21 short pulsing surveys to get a sense of how things are going for students, families, and educators. To continue with our Restart Evaluation, we conducted a spring pulsing survey in late Spring 2021 with students and families. The findings are linked in our reports below.
To hear the educator voice, we will use the Teaching and Learning Conditions in Colorado (TLCC) survey results, available in early Fall 2021.

FALL RESTART EVALUATION FINDINGS
To understand how to better meet the needs of our students, educators, and families we conducted three pulsing surveys in Fall 2020. In addition to analyses from the pulsing surveys, we completed additional analyses on MAP and Acadience assessment data. These analyses are detailed in the full Restart Evaluation reports below.

STUDENT LEARNING PREFERENCES SURVEY
During the summer and fall of the 2020-21 school year families were asked about the learning preferences and needs of their students to inform schools about fall 2020 scheduling. The report below outlines secondary student learning model preferences (hybrid, remote, or no preference) from nearly 27,000 respondents across Jeffco. The report also highlights student needs such as access to devices and internet, and other learning needs like academic and social emotional supports.
