A History
On May 21, 2020 - Jeffco Public Schools launched RestartJeffco - a comprehensive plan that outlined our district’s intentions for return to school during the active COVID-19 pandemic in August, 2020.
The website at restartjeffco.com (which redirects to https://jeffcopublicschools.org/restart_jeffco) was a "one-stop shop" that provided relevant and timely content that was accessible, mobile-responsive, and easy to understand.
Features included a specific navigation menu, searchable custom-built FAQ (powered by Google Data Studios), and an interactive COVID-19 Dashboard (powered by Microsoft BI).
From May 21, 2020 - May 31, 2021, content on the website was updated daily to include:
- learning model information
- a COVID-19 Data Dashboard
- news and email campaign updates
- searchable FAQs
- community resources
- special education information
- official documentation
- community feedback surveys and forms
- public health notifications
- mental health resources
- remote learning resources
- employee vaccination process
The website featured consistent design elements - color palette, branded “RestartJeffco” logo, rounded corners, bold buttons, stackable bordered divs (for optimal mobile-responsive display), info cards, on-page language translation buttons, and award-winning student art imagery.
With a forward-thinking and flexible approach of content clarity and brevity, functionality, usability, and design, the restartjeffco.com website was a key information portal that provided our community with clear, concise, transparent, and timely information about how Jeffco Public Schools was responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the exception of this landing page, all supporting website content for the Restart Jeffco plan has been archived as of May 31, 2021.
