The rain held off (oh Colorado spring!) for the Marshdale Elementary community to celebrate the beginning of construction on their new building.
Each class decorated their own shovel for the groundbreaking and even one Kindergarten group recited the Marshdale fight song! The tight-knit bond of this community was apparent with a group of community members and alumni also in attendance (donning their own shovels!) to help break ground on this exciting project.
The all new school will welcome students through its doors fall 2022 to making more one-of-a-kind Marshdale memories. This new facility will have the capacity to serve up to 380 students and will feature a new preschool facility, as well as a large turf field and interactive playground. The design was inspired by Marshdale's amazing views and features large windows and a mountain aesthetic.
