Graduation Requirements

Grad requirements logoColorado and Jeffco Public Schools are committed to educating students so they enter the workforce with in-demand skills that meet business, industry, and higher education standards. According to the Colorado Department of Educations (CDE), jobs that require training beyond high school are growing three times as fast as those that don't require training.

Jeffco students graduating in and after 2021 must meet or exceed the new graduation requirements:
  • accumulate a minimum of 23 credits in required courses
    AND
  • demonstrate their knowledge in English and math to show they are ready to pursue a career after high school
Students must earn credits and demonstrate math and english knowledge.

DEMONSTRATION OF KNOWLEDGE

Students are also required to demonstrate their knowledge in English and math to show they are ready to pursue a career after high school. Students may choose from a wide menu of tests, college-level courses, and new approaches like industry certifications and Capstone to fulfill the demonstration requirement.
