Summit Ridge Middle School welcomes new addition

After long summer months of building, Summit Ridge Middle School welcomed their brand new building addition with a celebratory ribbon-cutting that was held on Weds, Sept 25th. Summit Ridge staff, teachers, students, and families all joined for the celebration. Jeffco Superintendent Dr. Jason Glass and Board President Ron Mitchell were also in attendance to mark the special day.

The Summit Ridge addition adds approximately 3,500 square feet to their building with eight classrooms, two new science classrooms, bathrooms, and a teacher workroom. The new wing is also outfitted with multiple collaborating spaces including a new “learning stair” with a projection screen. Each classroom has a new teaching wall with an interactive projector. The building expansion helps Summit Ridge better serve incoming 6th-grade classes and their instructional needs.

After the ribbon was cut, Summit Ridge students welcomed attendees into their new wing -- giving tours, handing out branded cookies and even taking some fun selfies with Dr. Glass. We hope this addition will be an inspiring learning environment for Summit Ridge students for years to come.
