On Valentine's Day you spread the love, right? Students at Coronado Elementary School took that sentiment and ran with it! Instead of classroom parties, every grade level completed a service project to spread the love outside the school! Pre-K collected canned food for a local food bank, K collected teddy bears for Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, first grade collected children's games and activities for Children’s Hospital Colorado, second grade made Valentine-themed placements for local nursing homes, third grade made pet toys and blankets for local animal shelters, fourth grade collected new and gently-used baby items for WeeCycle, and fifth grade made fleece blankets for homeless shelters. Wow! Way to impact the community around you with a little extra love, Explorers!
