Receiving Messaging & Info From Jeffco Public Schools: You Can Manage Your Preferences
In Jeffco, both our schools and the district use a system called SchoolMessenger to communicate with the families of our 87,000+ students via email, phone call, text message, and push notifications to our Jeffco mobile app. Any combination of these communication methods might be used with each message sent. The contact information SchoolMessenger uses to send you an email,
call, or text comes from what you have entered for Notification Preferences in
JeffcoConnect.
You can control how and where you receive communications from us in your JeffcoConnect account. You can customize what you receive using
these instructions. Keep in mind, you must select message types for
every item you enter - every phone/text number and every email must have at least one message category selected on every line. If you have any issues with your JeffcoConnect login or account, your school's enrollment secretary can assist you.
We recommend
always selecting Emergency
and General for all communication methods and numbers you enter, as 99% of all messages sent from our schools and the district are sent as General, including weather closures.
Please note, if you select unsubscribe or block a Jeffco email, you elect to unsubscribe from/block all email coming from anywhere in Jeffco Public Schools. For example, blocking an email from the district will block you from school-based messages as well. It is recommended you simply delete any messages you do not want.
We share information with our community in other ways
too, and recommend you consider following us on these channels to ensure you will always get messages from at least one source. Follow us and turn on notifications on
Facebook and
Twitter, bookmark and refer to our
website, and download our app by searching for "Jeffco Schools CO" in your app store (Google Play and iTunes).
We use many tools to share information with
you, and hope you will actively engage in using these tools to stay informed.
