Swanson Elementary's Fuel Up to Play 60 group brought smiles to dozens of faces as they delivered stuffed animals and Valentine's notes to the tenants at the Life Care Center of Westminster. Students walked room to room at the center engaging in conversation with residents and even met one who used to deliver milk to Swanson. The reflection heard from many of the students leaving the center was, "I feel so good!" The students collected the stuffed toys during the "Bear Necessities" drive they ran at school. While some of the toys were distributed at the Life Care Center, others were donated to local fire and police departments. The compassion and kindness displayed by students throughout this process
was remarkable. Thank you to all who participated in the "Bear Necessities" philanthropic event!
