Connections Learning Center provides a small, structured educational setting for students in grades 6 - 8. We maintain continuity in the curriculum by following the same curriculum alignment project as the neighborhood schools. Students participate in a comprehensive service learning program that focuses on building self-esteem, empathy and communication skills. Students are referred to CLC from their current school or other school officials.

Long View High School's mission is is to provide a small, safe, and nurturing school for students who do not find success in large high schools, to educate and empower them to become caring, contributing citizens and life-long learners who think deeply and critically about issues affecting their lives, communities, the nation, and the world. The primary alternative that Long View offers is the small size which allows staff to get to know the students, their needs and their learning styles. Our small size and separate campus help to promote a strong sense of safety, belonging, and community. Our many guest speakers, hands-on activities, and weekly field experiences engage students in their learning and growth.
