Options for Pregnant or Parenting Teens

Jefferson County Adolescent Pregnancy and Parenting Program (JCAPPP) provides parenting and child development classes to pregnant and parenting teens while they are attending Achieve Academy.


Program Description

In addition to Achieve Academy Courses, participants in JCAPPP will take courses in and get elective credit for:

  • Child Development
  • Parenting
  • Relationships
  • Teen Parenting
  • Pre-Natal
  • Independent Living
  • Life

Eligibility

Must be pregnant or a teen parent and enrolled in Achieve Academy (please see Achieve information above)


Special Features

  • Grades and credits earned every 4 1/2 weeks
  • Additional credit through employment, extracurricular academic work or Warren Tech
  • On-site child care available - 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Connections - one or more Connection Option(s) each quarter. Choices include:
    • Warren Tech classes
    • On-the-Job Experience (OJE)
    • Community college classes
    • Independent studies
    • Friday Connection Classes
  • Social and experiential activities

Class Schedule

  • Monday - Thursday choice of:
    • 9:00 am - 1:30 pm or
    • 10:50 am - 3:15 pm
  • Friday - Variable times for Friday
  • Pathway
