Congratulations to Laura Garrison, instrumental music teacher at West Jefferson Middle School (WJMS), who just received the Jeffco PTA Crystal Apple Teacher of the Year Award honoring excellence in teaching! Laura was presented her award in person by Jennifer Burtis, WJMS PTA member and VP of Communication for Jeffco PTA, with many PTA members, parents, friends, and Laura's family at school to surprise Laura with the announcement. Laura has been teaching at WJMS for the last 18 years and said she is only the teacher she is because of her wonderful students. Laura will be celebrated for her hard work and dedication at the Jeffco PTA Spring Fling on Wednesday, April 18. Thank you, Laura, for all you do!
